Start a series
A title, a synopsis, your genres and a cover. You also choose how it reads: page-turn comic, vertical-scroll webtoon, or right-to-left manga, and every reader gets the layout you picked. Bring your own cover, or have one generated.

Describe your characters once
In plain words: how they look, what they wear, how they carry themselves. That description is attached to every page drawn afterwards, so the artwork is always working from the same notes about them. You can have a reference sheet drawn first, to see who you just described.

Write the chapter as scene beats
A chapter holds a run of pages. You write one short line per page, like "she finds the letter pushed under the door", up to twenty at a time, and send them off together. Already have an outline? Paste it in and Inkroost splits it into one beat per paragraph for you to edit.

Pick the version you meant
A beat can come back as up to four different drawings rather than one. You decide how many. Compare them side by side, keep the one that fits the scene, and send any page back to be redrawn, with the description reworded if that is what went wrong. Nothing joins the chapter until you choose it.

Publish, after a moderator has looked
One Publish button. Your series goes to our moderators before readers can see it, and it goes live by itself the moment it passes. You don't have to come back and press anything again. Worth knowing up front: a new account waits 0 hours before its first review, and there is a small daily limit on how much you can send in. It isn't broken; it's a queue.
What it costs to start
The account is free, and reading is free. Drawing a page with AI spends credits: 10 credits (about $0.25) a page, so a 20-page chapter is about 200 credits (about $4.99). The total is on screen before anything is sent off, so nothing is spent without you seeing the number first. New accounts start with 50 free credits, your first 5 pages. Uploading your own art costs nothing at all.
What you keep
Your work stays yours. Publishing here is not exclusive. The same series can run on other platforms too. Post chapters free for everyone, or mark them supporter-only and let your own Patreon supporters unlock them; that relationship stays between you and them.
If you do draw
Skip the AI entirely. Upload your finished pages, set the reading direction, and reorder or slot in a page whenever you need to. Chapters, the Publish button and the supporter-only option all work exactly the same. The generation tools just sit unused.
